Tasty Training! By Tim Scarfe. The Straddle PlancheI have been training the straddle planche since about June 2005. Since the very beginning I have found it hard to progress in this skill because it directly caused an injury in my left shoulder (long head bicep insertion tendonophy). A break through came when I started to drill bent arm lifts to handstand, this gave me the strength to lower down from handstand to bent arm straddle planche, and even bent arm full planche.
